Celtx is still free, the subscription prices you see are for their cloud collaboration service. Otherwise, there is a ton of free/donation programs available. At 15.00 it would even be better and if they make constant updates, would make the payment worthwhile.

I still have the free version on two of my laptops and on this desktop PC. Again, its just our opinion, but being in the Scheduling and Budgeting world all these years, weve seen these two programs used most of the time, and for good reason. I've used Celtx for years, not sure when they started asking for payment. If you are thinking of using a screenplay program for either a Hollywood submission or a film production, your best bet is still to use Final Draft or Movie Magic Screenwriter.
